Here at Howard Orloff Imports we offer our customers several transportation options to minimize the inconvenience of being without their vehicle while having it services.  For minor maintenance issues, such as an oil change, we provide a comfortable, wi-fi enabled waiting area where you can enjoy a complimentary cup of fresh brewed coffee, juice, or water while you wait.  If waiting isn't an option, we offer free shuttle service with round trip service within a five mile radius of our store.  If these options will not suit our customer's needs, we do have a limited number of courtesy loaner vehicles available on a first come, first served basis.

 

Our Courtesy Loaner Program policies are as follows:

  Ø Loaner Vehicles are available by appointment only, and on a first  come, first served basis.  Please contact our appointment scheduler's and let them know you require a loaner and they will schedule your appointment accordingly.  We understand that safety or drivability issues may make it unrealistic to wait for an appointment.  In such instances we will make every attempt to accommodate your alternate transportation needs, but we cannot guarantee a loaner vehicle will be available.  If we do not have a loaner available for your visit, we will attempt to provide a rental vehicle for your use.  We do not provide courtesy loaner vehicles for body work.

 

  Ø  Customers must provide a valid driver's license, proof of full coverage insurance, and a major credit card (not a debit card) each time they pick up a loaner vehicle.

 

  Ø We will hold a $150 pre-authorization on the credit card provided to help cover any additional charges incurred during the usage of the loaner.  Charges the customer may be responsible for include (but are not limited to) the examples below.

 

  Ø The customer is responsible for any new damage to the loaner.  The customer's insurance carrier will be the primary insurer of the loaner while in their possession.  For convenience, we will handle any claims on the customer's behalf.  Only the person(s) named on the Loaner Car Agreement and their spouses are permitted to operate the Loaner Car, unless otherwise specified and agreed to by all parties.  Due to insurance regulations, the drivers of loaner vehicles must be 21 years of age.

 

  Ø For the convenience of other customers, the loaners must be returned in a timely manner or a late fee will be assessed.  Upon notification that their service is completed, the customer must return the loaner within 24 hours or a late fee of $75 per day will be added to the service bill until the loaner has been returned.  In addition, there may be a $90 per day storage fee assessed if the customer's vehicle is not picked up.

 

  Ø The customer is responsible for replacing any fuel used.  If they do not, then a fee of $25 per quarter tank, rounded down to the nearest quarter tank, will be added to the service bill.

 

  Ø The customer is responsible for returning the loaner in the same condition with regards to interior cleanliness.  Smoking and transportation of pets are prohibited.  If the loaner is returned excessively dirty or there are signs of smoking and/or pet transportation, a detail fee of $149.99 will be added to the service bill.

 

  Ø The customer is responsible for any parking or moving violations, and any tolls incurred will using the loaner.  Once we have been notified of a violation or toll, we will determine the customer of record at the time of violation and will contact the customer to secure payment.  We will also charge an administration fee of $50 for processing these charges.

 

  Ø Loaner vehicles are not to be used for vacation or extended trips and are for use within the State of Illinois, unless otherwise specified.  Mileage is limited to 100 miles per day; anything in excess of that will be assessed a fee $.30 per mile.

 

  Ø Repeated abuse of our loaners, or violations of our loaner policies, may result in a customer losing the privilege of receiving a loaner during future service visits.

 

  Ø Please remember to remove all trash and personal items when returning a loaner vehicle.  We cannot be held responsible for personal items left in the loaner.
